CREATIVITY AT PLAY.

Reggio Emilia - Inspired Learning

At Atelier by Jules, our flexible, child-centered curriculum—rooted in the Reggio Emilia philosophy—we embrace a child-led, process-based approach to art. Our sessions are designed to nurture imagination, sensory exploration, and confidence in children ages 3–5—all in a calm, welcoming space that honors each child’s creative voice and empower every child to explore, create, and grow.

Our Approach

Children painting with rollers and brushes on a green, blue, and yellow abstract canvas. The table and hands are covered in paint splatters.

Processed-Based Art

The children work on open-ended, multi-step art experiences over time. Instead of focusing on copying a finished product, kids explore materials, make choices, and express their own ideas—building confidence, problem-solving skills, and deeper engagement with the artistic process.

Project-Based Learning

The children explore real-world ideas through meaningful projects. Instead of memorizing facts, they investigate, create, and problem-solve—building knowledge through curiosity, collaboration, and discovery. This often looks like long-term play, art, or nature-based explorations guided by the child’s interests.

Hands-On Exploration

The children actively engage with materials, tools, and their environment to make sense of the world. Through touching, building, mixing, and creating, they learn by doing—developing fine motor skills, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of concepts through direct experience.
